A fourth-generation Texan, Marlo Holdren brings a lifelong passion for education, creativity, and nature-based learning to Raphael Springs Academy. With a Bachelor of Arts in English/Media and a Master of Liberal Arts from Houston Christian University—along with studies at UC Berkeley and Oxford University—she has spent over 18 years teaching and tutoring in private schools.

Marlo is deeply connected to outdoor education and experiential learning, making her an ideal leader for spring break nature camps. Her childhood experiences attending small, nature-focused schools fostered a love for gardening, wildlife exploration, and hands-on environmental learning. She has designed and led engaging outdoor programs, where children explore, create, and build confidence in nature through activities like gardening, storytelling, seasonal crafts, and guided outdoor adventures.

A world traveler who has explored over 30 countries, Marlo brings a global perspective to her teaching, inspiring children to discover the world with wonder and curiosity. She believes in engaging, hands-on education that nurtures confidence, creativity, and a deep connection to nature. Parents and students alike recognize her for creating a dynamic, supportive, and joyful learning environment, making her an invaluable part of our board and school community.
