Rachel May

ORCHESTRA

Rachel May has been teaching private violin and viola lessons in the Austin area for the past 30 years. She has conducted various church choirs since 1980. She has been a member of different Symphonies including the Austin Symphony under the direction of Peter Bay.

Rachel has coached various music ensembles with the Austin Chamber Music Center and was a member of their board of directors, serving one term as President. She participated in several German Exchange programs with the Robert Schumann Music Conservatory in Zwickau, Germany - both taking music students to Germany and hosting the Germans in Austin. This included coaching and performing in many locations throughout Germany.
